What an exciting week in sports!

Where do I even begin?  Playoff baseball, the hockey season is about to start, and last but not least we have NFL football.

I'll begin with playoff baseball, my two most hated teams made it to the postseason this year.  The good news?  The Red Sox are out of it!  The bad news is that the Cubs came back and beat the Giants tonight to move onto the NLCS.  There goes the Giants even year streak.  With my beloved Cardinals out this year I am pulling for the Nationals and Saint Louis native Max Sherzer.  They have a do or die game coming up on Thursday as they are tied 2-2 with the Dodgers in the NLDS.

Next on tap we can talk about the NHL  Coming off of beating the Blackhawks in the preseason on Saturday, the Blues are actually going upto Chicago to open up the season on Wednesday.  Let's hope that the results are similar.  Jake Allen will be in goal despite sustaining an injury in that preseason game.  The Blues will then come home to face the Minnesota Wild in the home opener.

My New York Giants were in primetime Sunday night against Green Bay.  Odell Beckham JR. scored his first touch down of the year, I hope that sparks him for the rest of the season.  Janoris Jenkins recorded two picks on Aaron Rodgers at Lambeau Field, which it is almost unheard of for a team to even get one.   The results were not quite what I hoped though as the Packers beat the Giants.

Thank you for reading.
